God did not simply restore what was lost—He transformed who I was becoming.
After earning my doctorate and building a life of professional, entrepreneurial and ministry leadership, an unexpected season of adversity changed everything — false accusation, legal difficulty, a business that collapsed, finances that disappeared, and a family navigating disruption none of us had planned for.
In the middle of the uncertainty, I chose to count it all joy—not because the pain was easy, but because I believed the season could produce endurance, wisdom, and a deeper capacity to serve.
I held on for my children. As I rebuilt from an hourly job, a deeper question emerged: what if adversity is not merely something to survive, but something we can learn to read? Slowly, what had been dismantled was restored — and what was restored had a different shape and a clearer assignment.
Today I bring together epidemiology, leadership practice and faith-informed wisdom to help people and institutions recover with integrity, and to lead from what they became rather than what they survived.
